The famous company known as Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. Does more than just make and sell classy furniture. Their company works to help out the planet. Furniture is made out of devised wood which not only is a hundred percent recycled wood, but uses 30 two percent more of a tree than regular wood. And they ensure to recycle each possible item left over from their corporate use, to save the planet. Obviously they care about the planet and building a future for our posterity.
It was during Aug of 2000 and 7 that many cities in Wisconsin and Minnesota faced terrible flooding. Places in Minnesota received fifteen point ten inches or 300 and 80 four millimeters of rain in a 20 4 hour period. The flash floods swept away homes, destroyed bridges, and roads were undermined and totally missing. In Minnesota alone 4,000 and two hundred houses were wiped out or damaged and seven people were fatally injured.

They lost everything valuable to them such as family photographs and other keepsakes. Making an attempt to reconstruct and even replace lost items. It looked hopeless for some victims.

Communities pulled together to help out the victims of the floods, and the Ashley Furniture Industries Inc. Was part of that effort. In order to help those devastated by the floods, Ashley Furniture donated furniture and bedding equaling 1,000,000 greenbacks. It was given to 5 hundred and fifty families who lost their homes and personal things in the flood. They started their efforts in October of 2000 and seven and it continues nine months later. Families, who have profited from the donations, have come so late to pick up their items because it has taken them 9 months to rebuild their homes.
